All self-catering cottages and the main lodge are equipped with the following: Linen Towels (bathroom and swimming) Soap Hair Dryer Drinking Water - the water is crystal clear and safely drinkable as it comes from a spring beneath the farm. Laundry is available. Please ask our staff. There is a TV in the main lodge, and a DVD player is available. Recommended Items to bring: Mosquito repellent (the area is malaria-free) Sun blockout Shampoo & Conditioner Food and drinks Walking shoes A hat Swimsuit A light pullover for evening (Bring a warm jacket if you plan a night-drive) Binoculars Shop: There is a small shop with basic amenities on the neighbouring farm. Should you need anything else, the town of Vaalwater is 20 minutes away.

Cancellations: Here's the uncomfortable bit... As you can imagine, if you book us and then cancel last minute it is difficult for us to find someone else, hence our refund policy as follows: 14 days or less - no refund (sorry!) 15 days to 30 days - 70% of the total refunded 30 days or more - full refund. For bookings we require full pre-payment. Any booking not prepaid is only deemed provisional. After clicking "make reservation" you will be contacted by us to confirm your booking and to arrange payment.

2 hours drive from Pretoria: Waterberg area - Limpopo region Directions from Johannesburg approx. 280km 1. Take the N1 towards PRETORIA. Follow the signs on the N1 towards POLOKWANE (Pietersburg) 2. Pass through 1st Toll Gate - "Pumulane" 3. After 35km, pass through 2nd Toll Gate - "Carousel" 4. After 65km, makes sure you are in the far LEFT lane, pass through 3rd Toll Gate - "Kranskop", take the exit to the left towards MODIMOLLE (Nylstroom) 5. Turn left on R33 towards Modimolle. 6. After 10km you will reach town of Modimolle. Continue straight through the town over several stops/traffic lights. Continue straight on the road towards Vaalwater. 7. When you have driven 60km from entering the town of Modimolle, you will be at a stop street in Vaalwater (the only stop in town). Turn right (direction Melkrivier) and follow the road for 31.7km 8. Turn right onto sand road towards Sondagsloop and follow the road until t-junction (11.1km) 9. Turn right (see white Olievenfontein sign) 10. Follow the road for 4.8km, passing the Waterberg Game Park on your right. Entrance to Olievenfontein is on right-hand side after road curves.
