I arrived at the mesmerizing island of Jamaica with a colleague who was there to conduct business. For me the time in Jamaica was being spent as a holiday and attested to be a grand encounter. I noticed the Jamaicans to be straightforward people who prized the little things in life like customary courtesy. I swiftly discovered that factors like handshakes and good manners are continually good actions around a Jamaican especially if I was conducting business. I perceive that even though the Jamaican people may appear to be laid back and easy going, punctuality still plays a central part in their life. All in all, though pleasurable and enjoyable, my stay in Jamaica taught me discipline and punctuality.

As I sat in the local outdoor corner bar sipping a beer with my Jamaican companion he explained to me that when it comes to women’s fashion, short skirts and shorts on women were without a doubt regarded as inappropriate by most Jamaicans. As I was sitting there several Rastafarians wander by our table. I was wholly charmed by their manner of dress and was preparing to snap a picture of one when my friend leaped up and sprinted toward me. Finding my friends behavior a little odd I asked him what the problem was. He countered that Rastafarians consider it exceptionally disrespectful if someone photographs them without obtaining their permission first. I proceeded to apologize profusely to the gentleman and afterwards he consented for my photographs.I decided to do a little bit of sightseeing around Jamaica while I waited for my friend to conclude his business and visited James Bond Beach, one of the things Jamaica is world famous for. It was simply spectacular with the stunning sandy beach bordered by the crystal clear water on three banks and an remarkable background of the St. Mary mountains.

I had lunch at the two storey Moonraker Jamaican Bar & Grill famous for their marvelous fresh fish and succulent seafood. The fish was so fresh that they let me select which one I choose to eat. Close by was the renowned Golden Eye, where Ian Fleming created his James Bond novels. James Bond Beach in Jamaica is the home to countless international and local concerts one being the Bob Marley Tribute Concert.
