Finding and booking accommodation in Africa is not much of a job. All the required information is available on internet. There are various sites offering accommodation in Africa, one of them being HotelsBible.com.

We did a little bit of research in advance and booked accommodation in all places we had planned to visit. Though we paid through credit card for initial bookings, but most of the places we had to clear the balance in cash. The hotels and lodges where ever we stayed were just wonderful. One thing I would like to share is that one must book the accommodation, especially the game lodges, well in advance if visiting the place in tourist season i.e. during spring season.

We stayed in a game lodge in Cape Town and were thrilled to have the facilities that they offered us. Right from the 4×4 drive, to the safari, to white water rafting, each and every activity was full of fun and adventure. I recommend to everyone, visiting Africa that they must stay in these game lodges to experience a different world.

At our next destination in Africa, we had booked a guest house having two big bedrooms, as we were 4 of people. The guest house was quite comfortable and the rooms were cozy and sunny. As we had booked it as Band B, the breakfast served was just excellent and served in a stylish manner too. The treatment by the host and hostess was very friendly.

On our seventh day of the trip, we headed for the Kruger National Park, having a breathtaking variety of wildlife, flora, and fauna. The place where we stayed was awesome. It was an ostrich farm. The rooms there were laced with all the modern facilities including air conditioning, a mini bar, fireplace, and the works.

The lodge where stayed in Durban kept the comfort and warmth of African people continued. The hosts not only served us well but also helped us out by guiding what to see and how to reach there.

We can say that Africa is very well organized as long as accommodation to the visitors is concerned.

  3. I think the Hotelsbible blog is the best place on the net to learn about worldwide best tourist destination, and the hotelsbible main site is the ideal website to search for worldwide hotels and the discounts that they’re offering at any time. Also the best site to book hotel room online, and the booking service here is FREE! I love this site because it has its very own personal touch. It’s different and cosy. Makes you feel comfortable, like you can trust it.

  4. Trust me, your vacations in Africa can never be complete unless and until you visit a Zulu Kraal. That will be a true spiritual journey that will bring you closest to Mother Nature and make you understand what life is all about. Just a piece of advice from my very own experience that I wanted to share with those planning to visit Africa soon. No matter how much you read about Africa, you can only get the feel and understand the essence from first hand experience.

  9. I have traveled through a number of countries, but nothing has impressed me as much as my recent visit to South Africa has. I started my visit from the beautiful Cape Town, the city having table mountains in its backdrop and beautiful beaches to boast. Cape Town, like any other tourist destination, offers plenty of things to do and experience. We stayed in a game lodge there and it was an experience in itself. The lodge had small jetties for fishing by the guests. Then we were taken for a safari ride and after that we could do 4×4 driving too.

Our next destination Bloem was full of fun and frolic as we did lots of adventurous activities, tried a few gold shots, enjoyed the great African music, and the most interesting part is that we shopped a lot. I bought some local stuff for presenting to my family and friends. One thing I learnt there is that you need to be a good haggler. You must bargain to get the best price. Then we headed for Clarens to enjoy white water rafting and I can’t explain the feel of it in words. The beauty of Clarens is the sandstone mountains which surround it.

    Africa Safari, Giraffe and Sunset

Our visit to Golden Gate National Park was a hurried one, but still we were fortunate enough to get a sight of a lot of wild animals including zebra, white rhinos and so many other animals I had but seen on TV before.

And how can one ignore Ghana from the itinerary while traveling in Africa!! We were overwhelmed by the treatment that Ghanaians offered to us. They are real sweet and friendly people. Though the people of this place are reliable, but not the weather. It is as hot and humid as it can be. Due to the weather the best season to visit Africa is during spring. Like the weather, the food is equally hot and spicy. So, one should be prepared to test the taste buds here.

Traveling in Africa has been an experience of seeing beautiful places, meeting lovely people, enjoying adventures and loving every bit of it. What more can one expect?!
