Travel Guide France

I found France to be one of those extraordinary countries where every province offers something meaningful and unique. Upon my arrival in Paris I discovered it to be the summit of the modern fashion industry as well as the focal point for fine art and of course the core of fine food restaurants. To me Paris is the most enchanting province in France and the most magical city in the whole of Europe. Paris is a congenial blend of both the traditional and the modern. With this idea in mind I decided to explore the numerous miniature lanes and alleyways which populates the city of Paris.
Paris is identified as a city where you could aimlessly roam for hours on end and this is precisely what I did. I wander up and down the assortment of secretive nooks that are tucked away from main thoroughfare, revealing countless hidden cafés.Speaking of Cafés and fine food a brief lunch at the Café Coster is definitely in order when visiting Paris. When I first entered the Café Coster my initial thoughts concerned the superb 19th century furnishings. The restaurant itself is positioned on the bottom floor of the hotel Coster. I dined on some very extraordinary Brittany mussels with a side of goats cheese along tiny cups of strong espresso coffee. As I departed the Café I observe a petite child helped her mother organize bouquets of fresh picked flowers. An older woman dismissed several street vendors produce before finally selection the perfect pear. These are the distinctive Paris sights. In my judgment one of the best ways to discover France is to visit one of the countless local markets. No excursion to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. As I scrutinized this lofty structure I deemed at times that Paris often emitted an impression of a magnificent magnitude architecturally. Reluctantly I departing the view of the tower and concluded my Paris visit with a tour of several of the more then 160 fine art galleries surrounding the cityI was now on my way to Nice.

Great post on Paris, but let’s talk a bit about Nice as well. Nice is the fifth major city in France. Since I visited this province I have become fascinated by the splendid mansions of the aristocrats. Everywhere I looked I saw chic ladies walking about with miniature poodles held tightly on a leash. I shall forever remember Nice as the poodle city.
As I was returning to the train station I made a slight detour to Glacier Fenocchio. It didn’t take me long to comprehend why this time-honored ice cream shop was so popular. They boast the largest collection of home made ice cream I had ever seen. With over 70 diverse flavors ranging from old favorites such as Peach Melba to the more bizarre flavors like mandarin orange the choices was endless. I chose the Peach one and enjoyed it all the way to the station.
Though I liked Paris quite a lot, I fell in love with Normandy for its traditional values and the historical heritage that it owns.
Visit to Longues-sur-Mer was a an amazing experience as well. Apart from the sunny beaches, Normandy offers the best of French cuisines too. The hotel, Belle Isle sur Risle, where we stayed was a nice one and was laced with complete amenities like, gym, sauna, swimming pool, restaurant etc.
The Loire Valley also has its charm. This place is a little different from Paris and has a quiet and calm life. People are not in a hurry and enjoy every bit of life. People coming for relaxed holidays prefer Loire from other French Provinces.
During my first stay in Paris I discovered several facts pertaining to the Parisians. One, they are not as rude as the media gives rise to and secondly, Paris is not as expensive to reside in as one would anticipate.
I was fortunate enough to locate and rent a flat in a charismatic neighborhood and still preserve enough funds to indulge in Paris‘ renowned cuisine. While searching for a place to live I discovered that Paris was divided into twenty different neighborhoods and these zones are arranged in an outward spiral initiation from the center of Paris.
Tradition states that the left bank of town is reserved for the bohemian population while the high priced shopping region is on the right bank. The truth of the issue is I did locate an area of charm regardless of where I went in Paris.
I found life to be very pleasurable within the area of Paris known as the Latin Quarter, being so designated because students from around the globe once spoke merely Latin to one another as their universal language.
The Latin Quarter commonly offers economical to moderately priced places to dwell. The inhabitants of this sector of Paris tend to boarder on the younger side. Many of the sidewalk cafes and bars in this area are usually open until the early hours of the morning. I found that an assortment of restaurants spanning in cost from the inexpensive to moderately priced accent the Latin Quarter and are colonized in general by the hip or the just plain inquisitive.
As I explored the shops in the area I found them to be geared more towards the youthful market then the more mature as found in other parts of the city. As with the assortment of clientele the shops too feature a great number of specialty stores as well as the unusual little boutiques. Since the area has by tradition been used by the students and scholars, I enjoyed the profusion of bookstores ranging from general topics to highly specialized books.
I liked the ample places to go while in the Latin Quarter giving me something to always do in my spare time. I would venture into the open-air food market which was open for customers three days a week as well as visit the “Mosque” where you can get one of the finest cups of tea in the city.
