Hotels in Torremolinos, Spain Travel and Tourism Guide

Throughout my eight years residing in Spain nothing was more gratifying than my bi-annual holidays in the beautiful area of Costa de Sole and explicitly to Torremolinos. I still remember the vehicle ride to Torremolinos as I departed Madrid and journeyed towards Malaga Bay and then another 12 kilometers south to Torremolinos.

Even though there is a train service connecting Torremolinos to Malaga I preferred to rent a little Spanish Seat at Barajas Airport and commute the distance to Torremolinos. I enjoyed the additional scenery along the highway as I travelled through the mountains.

Upon arrival in Torremolinos I would take the local bus service to get around town. The bus serves most of Torremolinos, which allowed me to traverse to the central part of town from just about anywhere in the immediate locale. I generally had no longer than a 40 minute delay for the buses and the cost is minimal.

Some of the first places I would usually go to are the Calle San Miguel’s shops, bars and cafés.

At the end of Calle San Miguel I explored the former fisherman’s district, La Carihuela. It is captivating to observe this area as it’s as close to the early Spanish culture as you can get. Back in 1920 Torremolinos was originally a small fishing village and I could still distinguish remnants of it as I strolled around the area. I found that some of the finest Spanish restaurants are to be found in the fisherman’s district of La Carihuela. Torremolinos Hotel, Spain Travel and Tourism Guide

My favorite Spanish dish is the paella prepared with saffron rice and an assortment of seafood delicacies. Along the Torremolinos beach there are some very fine outdoor food stands serving first-rate pescaíto frito, although if I am not notably hungry I will sample many of the various Tapas being presented at the stands.

I walked unhurriedly down Calle San Miguel and surveyed all the shops which line the hub of Torremolinos and extend down to the beach. As I advance towards the beach I stumbled upon many children playing on the twisting stair steps descend to the beach. Most of the children find it engaging to run down these steps.

Many travel deals include economical hotels as well as cheap flights. They often offer car rental facilities too. The deals that are inclusive of cruises make it up in some other way.
