Hotels in Majorca

I classify Majorca as a shopper’s paradise. Here is a place where there’s something for every liking ranging from the latest top designer items to specialty handcrafted ceramic pottery. Most of the shops in the Majorca resort area are arranged into small plazas and streets which remain open for business until late in the evening.
Be sure to procure one of the traditional Mallorquín shopping bags to hold your purchases in.In the course of my recent stopover in Majorca I spent significant time investigate the assortment of treasures offered at the largest mall in the city: the Centro Porto Pi.I looked at the diverse selection of leatherwork being offered at the famous Spanish department store of Galerias Preciados. After purchasing a tooled leather handbag I ventured to Avenue Jaume III which featured many globally recognized fashion and jewelry boutiques. Here I viewed the many cultured pearls being presented for sale and selected not only a set of Majorcan pearls but also some fine needlework for the wife.I found that not all the bargains are to be found in the upper class shops as there are an range of local flea markets in Majorca, all selling items ranging from food to arts and crafts.
These Majorcan bazaars offer the browser both household wares as well as the farm fresh fruit, vegetables, and meats. Saturday morning is by tradition the market day at Avenida Alomar y Villalonga. My next shopping jaunt was to the renowned Casa Bonet where I acquire several hand embroidered tablecloths with matching napkins. If you have the resources of cooking your own meals don’t pass up the weekday produce markets highlighting a variety of delectable produce and local spices. One such market is to be found in the town of Sineu. This wide-ranging outdoor market sells all sorts of foods, spices, and wines as well as crafts and art. You can even procure live farm animals such as rabbits and chickens. If you arrive at the market early enough you can witness the sale of donkeys and sheep as well as other farm animals. As in any other region of Spain, most businesses in Majorca close for lunch around 1:30 and reopen at 5 and remain open until about 8 PM.

Official figures for Mallorca holidays this year indicate an increase in tourist numbers.
Hi everyone!
I’m new to http://www.hotelsbible.com.
Hope I can be a regular here!
nice shopping tips - i must admit to being fooled by their opening hours when I first visited Majorca
Majorca looks very beautiful, really stunning pictures. Never thought of this island as a place I wanted to visit but now it feels very tempting.
From my experience south Europe has very beautiful nature, even compared to ‘Paradise Islands in Asia, Africa and Caribbean. I Believe it’s because many places in south Europe indeed have warm climate but not extremely warm.
Prices for Hotels in Spain is still relatively low which makes the destination a good choice since the air tickets usually can be found really cheap.
Great post

I’m not too sure why … probably because your blog talks about the World’s biggest tourist attraction. Anyway, great info though. I enjoyed reading your posts. Thanks.
Spain’s Mallorca has been a popular tourist spot for several decades now…

Mallorca Property…
A villa in Mallorca (Majorca) makes the perfect home away from home on this sunny island off the east coast…
Hi. I live in Majorca and I just thought I should point out something. Most tourists coming to Majorca focus on its sun, sea and sand. But they miss out on all the other attractive spots tourists should discover in Majorca. Yes, Majorca has got a lot more to offer than just sunny beaches. There’s Gothic architecture, the hilltop villages, the olive grooves and the hidden coves…
Of course you can’t miss our crazy summer parties!
After doing some initial research on Hotelsbible.com | Travel Blog, I booked my hotel to Majorca at Hotelsbible.com. Traveling just AFTER a major holiday is a great way to save money on plane tickets. As for accommodation, I did a good deal of homework on all the regular travel sites and ended up finding the best deals at Hotelsbible.com.
